As kids get older, it may seem like they are “too old” to make Father’s Day gifts. But that clearly isn’t the case, or else we wouldn’t have so many DIY project ideas for kids through adults. Homemade gifts are always special. So there are plenty of Father’s Day gifts for tweens to make.
Still, the tween years are kind of a mixed bag. For starters, they are transitioning into adolescents. However, each child is so different and does so at their own pace. Because of this, I found some Father’s Day gifts for tweens to give dad that will be appropriate for those who still enjoy making things and others that are moving into the “I’m a cool teen” phase.
Below is a mix of cards and projects for your tweens to do to make dad feel special on Father’s Day. Dads do so much and deserve a little love and pampering, too.
So check out the ideas below, and maybe you will find something new for your tweens to do for Father’s Day.
Father’s Day Gift for Tweens: Coupons for Dad
You can’t go wrong with coupons. Your tween can personalize coupons with things their dad would enjoy. Maybe dad would like the garage cleaned out or a homemade breakfast. Kids can make up special coupon books for Dad to cash in for services.
Although, I am realistic. So if your tween doesn’t want to make coupons, here are a couple of places you can download coupons to use. Even if your kids can’t use all of them, maybe it will give them some ideas.

Keychains to Make or Buy
Keychains can always be useful. Plus, Dad is always reminded of the kiddos when he grabs the keys. They are a nice Father’s Day gift for tweens to make or buy.

- Cool Map Rock Keychain by Pillar Box Blue- I think this is my favorite keychain idea. It looks nice, and you can choose maps that are significant for your family. Check it out!
- Father’s Day Keychain at StilettosAndSawdust Etsy Shop- On this site, they have some unique and funny keychains tweens might enjoy buying for dad. They aren’t that expensive either. I put this in because the keychains were cute. But… if you have kids with a wood-burning kit or just some markers, they may be able to duplicate something like this at home.
