I’m Sharon Rowley. You can find me tucked away in a small rural town in Maine with my husband, two kids, a cat, and 5 chickens. Besides being a mom, a wife, and a homeschool teacher, I am a cub scout leader and a leader in 4-H. My days are filled with lots of books, messes, noise, and fun! I wouldn’t have it any other way.
My life in education began almost 20 years ago as a fourth-grade teacher. From there, I taught in special education, ran my own daycare and preschool, and then became a homeschool mom. I feel I am the luckiest teacher in the world. I have a small class size, I can teach how I want, and I have my kids with me every day! It can’t get any better than that.
When I find some down time, I love to read, hang out with my chickens, and go places with my family. We love going to the library, exploring beaches, and finding kid-friendly activities to do around the state.
I hope you find some fun ideas to do with your kids, some encouragement, and enjoy seeing our journey into the secret life of homeschooling!
