I’m Sharon Rowley. You can find me tucked away in a small rural town in Maine with my husband, two kids, a cat, a rabbit, and chickens. Besides being a mom, a wife, and a homeschool teacher, I am also Scoutmaster for my daughter’s female Scout BSA troop. My days are filled with lots of books, messes, noise, and fun! I wouldn’t have it any other way.
My life in education began over 20 years ago as a fourth-grade teacher. From there, I taught in special education, ran my own daycare and preschool, and became a homeschool mom. I feel I am the luckiest teacher in the world. I have a small class size, I can teach how I want, and I have my kids with me every day! It can’t get any better than that.
When I find some downtime, I love to read, hang out with my chickens and rabbit, and go places with my family. We love going to the library, exploring beaches, and finding kid-friendly activities to do around the state.
I aim to take the mystery out of homeschooling with practical advice, useful teaching ideas, fun projects, and encouragement. Most of all, I want you to know you are not alone on your journey in the secret life of homeschooling! I am here to help and to make sure you find the fun in homeschooling!
